Shikaar reads your resume so it can rank jobs against it. That means handling the most personal document most people own, so this page says plainly what happens to it. No lawyer wrote this; it describes what the software actually does.

Your resume text and the text of the job you are looking at are sent to Google Vertex AI when you ask for a score, a tailored document, drafted answers, or when your profile is first built. This is the enterprise service, not the consumer Gemini app: under Google's terms, Vertex AI does not use customer data to train its models.
Everything else — your account, resume, profile and pipeline — lives in Google Firestore. Job listings and descriptions are served from Google Cloud Storage. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. All of it runs in one Google Cloud project controlled by us.
The roles Shikaar shows are public postings gathered from employers' own career pages and applicant tracking systems, plus job alert emails you have asked LinkedIn to send. Search results link to the employer's own posting. We do not publish full descriptions to people who are not signed in.
Under Profile → Your data you can, at any time and without asking us:
Deleting your account does not remove the public job listings, which were never yours or ours.
Until you delete them. There is no automatic expiry, because a job search can run for a year and losing your pipeline halfway through would be worse than keeping it.
Shikaar is for people looking for professional work and is not intended for anyone under 16.
If this page changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the date at the top changes and we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
