Shikaar is run by one person. If something is broken, telling me is genuinely useful — most of what gets fixed gets fixed because someone hit it and said so.
Email admin@shikaar.ai. The two things that make a report actionable:
Please do not email your resume or your answers. I do not need them to debug a form, and I would rather not have a copy.
| What you see | Usually because |
|---|---|
| “Nothing staged yet” | The application has not been sent across. Open the job on Shikaar, press Apply, then Send to extension, and come back to the form. |
| “Nothing on this page matched” | Most often the form is not on screen yet. Some employers show a landing page with an Apply button and only build the real fields after you click it. Get to the actual form first, then fill. |
| The documents attached, but the questions stayed empty | Working as intended when the wording is far enough from anything in your pack. It skips rather than pasting a paragraph that does not answer the question. |
| The upload would not take the file | Some systems replace the file field with their own widget that only opens a picker. There is nothing for the extension to attach to, so attach that one by hand. |
| It filled, but the employer says the field is empty | A few forms only register a value after you click into the field. Click each filled field once before submitting. |
Worth knowing: the extension only has access to a page after you click its icon on that tab, so it can do nothing until you ask it to — and it will not run at all on a tab you have not clicked it on.
Straight answer, because it matters when you are relying on it: the fill behaviour is verified against a test application form covering document uploads, long written questions, a question it should refuse to answer, and fields already filled in by hand. It has not been exercised across every live applicant tracking system in the wild, and the ones with heavily custom upload widgets are the likeliest to disappoint.
If it fails on one, send me the link. That is the fastest way for the next person not to hit it.
If you ever see it do one of these, that is a bug and I want to hear about it the same day.
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| The sign-in link in your email does not work | Links expire and only open in the browser that asked for them. Request a fresh one from the same browser. If it still fails, email me — that one is on us, not you. |
| Your resume did not parse properly | Heavily designed PDFs with columns and text boxes are the usual culprit. A plain DOCX or a simply formatted PDF reads far more reliably. |
| Scores look wrong for you | Ranking follows a profile derived from your resume, and you can read and correct all of it under Profile. |
| You hit the daily limit | There is a per-day cap on AI requests per account so one person cannot exhaust the service. It resets each day. |
| You want your data gone | Profile → Your data → download everything, or delete the account outright. Immediate, and it does not go through me. |
We are not involved in your application once it leaves your hands, and we have no relationship with the employers whose roles are listed. If a posting is stale, a form is broken on their side, or you are waiting to hear back, that one has to go to them.
