Shikaar is a free tool, run by one person, that helps you find and apply for jobs. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple.
A search over public job postings, ranked against your resume, plus help drafting application material. It is provided free and as-is. There is no subscription, no charge, and no guarantee of availability — it may be slow, briefly broken, or discontinued.
This is the part that matters most.
Tailored resumes, cover letters and drafted answers are produced by a language model. The model is instructed to use only what your resume supports and never to invent an employer, a metric or a project — but models make mistakes, and a mistake here goes out under your name on a real job application.
You are responsible for everything you submit. Read every generated document and answer in full before using it. Shikaar never submits anything on your behalf, precisely so that this check always happens.
A score is one model's read of how well a posting matches your resume. The faint numbers are weaker still — a similarity estimate that correlates only loosely with an actual read of the job. Neither is a prediction that you will get an interview, and a low score is not a reason to skip a job you want. Use them to decide where to spend your attention, not whether you are qualified.
Listings are gathered from employers' own career pages and applicant tracking systems. We link to the original posting and do not control its accuracy, and a role may be filled or withdrawn before the listing disappears. Your application is between you and the employer; we are not involved in it and take no fee from anyone.
Use Shikaar for your own job search. Do not resell or redistribute the listings, scrape the service in bulk, upload someone else's resume without their consent, or try to reach another user's data. There is a daily cap on AI requests per account so that one person cannot exhaust the service for everyone; it resets each day.
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time under Profile → Your data. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or other users.
Shikaar is provided without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost opportunities, missed applications, errors in generated documents, or anything else arising from using a free tool. If that is not an acceptable basis, please do not use it.
What we hold and what leaves our systems is set out in the privacy page, including the fact that your resume is sent to Google Vertex AI to do the work you asked for.
